The term “golden birthday” is thrown around a lot these days, but it’s being used incorrectly and that drives me crazy. A widely held misconception states that it’s the day on which someone turns the age of their birth day, but that’s only half of it. To get your true golden birthday, you take the month and the day on which you were born and set them next to each other. For example, if you were born on July 4th, your golden birthday would occur on the day you turned 74.
Sadly, since most people have golden birthdays that fall several hundred years after their birth, they die before ever reaching that glorious milestone. Wondering if you’ll make it? Simply enter your birthdate below to find out how long you have to wait.
